Ruthਨਮੂਨਾ

Naomi has hatched a plan for Ruth to dress up and present herself as a bride to Boaz. He accepts her proposal to marry her and save their family. We can see this mirrors the image of Christ and His church as Paul writes, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” This relationship we have with Christ is holy and good.

About this Plan

The story of Ruth stands as a story of redemption. Coming from tragedy and as a foreign woman, Ruth is the last person we might expect to see the goodness of God. She becomes a key figure in the story of the Bible and the great-grandmother of King David himself!
