1 God in the First Placeਨਮੂਨਾ

TO WHOM DO YOU ENTRUST YOUR WORKS?
Sometimes we worry so much about the things we want to obtain in the future that we forget to make the best decisions for our present, we put God aside as if his existence were unreal, and we take advantage of the fictitious opportunity that the tempter offers us to act according to a vain will. Are we giving God its rightful place in our lives? Does God occupy our whole heart or just a portion of what we have left over?
In the midst of this desperate situation, the question arises in my conscience. To whom am I entrusting my works? Perhaps you have asked yourself the same question repeatedly but have not found a convincing answer for your confused heart.
In the book of Proverbs, chapter 16, verse 3, it tells us: Commend your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be affirmed.
When we entrust something to someone, it is because we fully trust that they will keep safely and carefully what we leave in their hands. In the same way, God expects us to trust in His care for us.
But how is this trust in Christ Jesus born? This full confidence is born from the constant study of His Word; there, our way of thinking changes, and we begin to act under a divine will. Our thoughts are constantly connected with heaven, and that is when we find the true meaning of the existence of the present and the early arrival of a hopeful future.
Put in God's hands all that your heart longs for, do not lose hope of all that at some point you dreamed of,
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans of well-being and not of calamity, to give you a future and hope.
