Seasons: Daily Truths to Refresh the Weary Momਨਮੂਨਾ

God is showing me that He is in the mundane. I always saw them as separate. Hurry up and get the dishes done, fold the laundry, etc so then I can have time with the Lord, then I can have a heavenly moment. But why can’t I experience God while I fold my husband’s shirts? Because I’m pretty sure God is with me the entire time, and He is waiting for me to turn my eyes and ears to Him. And the more we can take control of the mundane in our lives, the more detailed and caring we can be for that 80%, and the more prepared we will be for a spiritual encounter in the midst of the mundane and in preparation for the extraordinary moments that God puts in our lives. The ones where He is going to use us, bless us, and speak through us.
We see in this scripture how the sheep were taken care of. The stone protected the well, and it had to be put back after the sheep were given water. All the shepherds in the land brought their sheep to this well. There was a process to the little things and this little process led Jacob to meet Rachel because they were doing the mundane as shepherds and a shepherdess. And because they did the mundane well, they met, fell in love, and the lineage of Jesus continued. Don’t you see?
The mundane can make room for miracles and the mundane can prepare you for your purpose.
