Real Hope: Redeeming Homeਨਮੂਨਾ

Community
What comes to mind when you hear the word family? I think of holidays, Christmas feasts, pets, nieces and nephews, and life experiences that were unpredictable but shared with my family. I have so many fond memories, but also a lot of challenging associations with that word. My family story also includes addiction, divorce, mental health, and many more challenging experiences. Family can be a frail and broken place at times, and yet with the fragility of natural family, God in His genius invites each person to experience family done right, through belonging to a community of believers. How can I be so sure? Aren’t believers flawed people too?
Well, when the head of the family is good, there is hope for all in the home. The head of the family influences the atmosphere, sets an example, creates a culture, and transforms each member through love. God is the head of the Christian family, thus for all there is a possibility to experience family in a healing and empowering way.
I want to encourage you today, that God sets the lonely in family. It’s God’s method for healing and transformation. That you may experience God’s love through community. And that through sharing life — the good and the difficult — we learn and grow together.
