Stuck Togetherਨਮੂਨਾ

Scripture encourages us to honor our parents. That almost sounds like we need to bow down to our parents like they’re royalty or something! Well, that’s not it exactly. Honor really means respect. That means not talking back even when you’re frustrated, not rolling your eyes when they say something embarrassing, and choosing to follow their rules even when they’re not in the room. It won’t always be easy, and it doesn’t mean you have to take on abuse, hurt, or pain. That isn’t respect either! Rather, it means choosing to honor them in the way you live however you can.
Sometime this week, ask a parent or adult you live with if there’s something you can do that would make them feel more honored or respected. Then, do your best to give that a try this week!
