Day 2: Becoming a Living Sacrifice

To position ourselves to be fully consumed by God, we have to take every part of our lives and give it as an offering before God. We were not made for ourselves. We were made for God, so we give ourselves to Him wholeheartedly. To Give and Live our lives for God, we need the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us walk in the spirit and not in the flesh, live a pleasing life to God, and convinces us to resist lustful or worldly desires. The convicting power of the Holy Spirit is His power within us, convincing us not to fulfill the lust of our flesh but instead yield to His spirit. The closer we press into the Holy Spirit, the more He produces holiness in our life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am grateful for the power of the Holy Spirit that brings conviction within my life to live a life that is holy unto you. I ask you to help me commit my everyday ordinary to you and seek you with my whole heart. Holy Spirit, I give you permission to speak into my life, and I ask you to help me stay sensitive to your voice and respond in obedience. Thank you that I can live a life that is holy, honoring, and consumed by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
