Faith Over Fear: Transitioning to Collegeਨਮੂਨਾ

Never Stop Praying
Whether you’re enjoying life or struggling, there is always room for prayer. Not only is there room, but it is imperative that we pray in all situations. God can help us when we are suffering, and we should thank and praise Him when we are thriving.
Studying the Bible and praising God is great to do on your own, but I find a lot of value in connecting with others. Bible studies and group worship are amazing practices. They allow you to discuss and experience the Lord with like-minded people. God intended us to live in community with others, and we have the opportunity to learn so much from other people based on their life experiences and knowledge.
Relating with people in a Bible study was a huge help in my college transition. When reading the Bible together, the passages suddenly had so much more meaning because we discussed how those stories related to issues or situations in our lives. We could use God’s words to help improve our lives and relationships in specific ways.
Another group setting that helped me through freshman year (and still helps me navigate everyday life) was church. The messages came from people who were devoted to their faith and had a lot of wisdom on certain topics. It was vital to hear from the perspective of leaders in the faith and people whom I respected.
In summary, we must always be in dialogue with God: thanking Him, praising Him, asking Him for help, or anything else. He created us, and He loves us. He wants nothing more than for us to love, obey, and follow Him.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for blessing us with free will. Please help us to choose you continually. Whether we need Your help or feel like we are on top of the world, we know that You are the one to take refuge in and trust. Thank you for always being here for us. Amen.
