Joy to the World: An Advent Bible Reading Planਨਮੂਨਾ

Read Jeremiah 33:14-16
About 600 years before Jesus was born, a prophet sees into the future and describes a coming Messiah. This passage shows us that God had a plan from long ago – even though it seemed like He was not doing anything, He was working.
Pray
What are some areas where you find it difficult to trust God? Maybe there are some things that you have prayed about but nothing happens. Jeremiah saw something 600 years before it came to pass. Take some time to pray and admit that there are areas that you need to trust God – areas in your life that you feel like He is not at work. Just admit that it is hard to trust Him in prayer. God is always at work – often when we feel like He is distant, He is working behind the scenes.
Practice
Text a scripture verse or an encouraging thought to a friend that has a hard time trusting God.
