More than ever before, social media allows us to do two things: to compare ourselves to others and to listen to what others say about us. It is so tempting to want to gain approval from the world around us! But when we start focusing on the approval of others, we lose focus on what God has to say about us. And guess what? God only has good things to say about you. So, the next time you’re tempted to believe the words of others over what God says about you or to compare yourself to someone else, remember the only approval you need is God’s. And that’s something you already have!
