Gracious Heavenly Father,

Everywhere we look,
we see turmoil and tension,
except
when we look to You.

Everywhere we look,
we see evil running rampant,
except
when we look to You.

Everywhere we look,
we see chaos and corruption,
except
when we look to You.

Everywhere we look,
we see hopelessness and despair,
except
when we look to You.

Lord,
help us to keep
our eyes on You.

But, Lord,
we also pray that
through our words,
through our actions,
through our lives,
through our very day to day living of each day,
we might lift You high,
so others may look upon You, too,
and find the
joy,
righteousness,
peace,
and hope
we find in You.

In Jesus’ precious name,
we pray.

Amen.
