How to Continue Experiencing Jesus After the Weekendਨਮੂਨਾ

Why am I here? Does anything really matter? How can I make a difference? Let’s ask the world’s most important person, Jesus, those questions. After all, He answered those questions in Matthew 22. If you want your daily life to have a ripple effect into eternity, then listen up to what Jesus said and what the most important thing to do is. “Love the LORD your God … and love your neighbor as yourself.” Simple, right? Love God and love people. Simple, yes. Easy? Not so much. First off, how do we love God?
If you really love & LIKE someone, what do you do? Spend time with them, talk with them, think about them, and enjoy being with them. How do we do that with God? We can read God’s words to us in the Bible. He speaks to us and guides us in how to live life with Him through His words in scripture. We can talk to God. He loves you, AND He likes you. He wants to hear from you, so simply tell Him what is on your mind. You don’t have to pretend everything’s great; keep it real with God, He can take it. We can think about God. About how He sent Jesus for us and how He rescued us from sin and death and gave us life. We can think about how He has comforted us in hard times and brought us immense joy in belonging to His family!
The world’s most important commandment is to love God, get it, and love our neighbors. Our neighbors are the people in our lives. Who in your life needs to be loved today? How can you put someone else’s needs and interests ahead of your own? After all, when we love people as God has loved us, they can see God in us and may want to know Him more as we do.
