Preparing for Marketplace Revivalਨਮੂਨਾ

Preparing For Marketplace Revival: Part II
For years, Rob was actively involved in his church. But each Monday he felt like a hypocrite. His approach to work conflicted with his faith.
Finally, one Monday morning Rob realized the way he was running his business wasn’t pleasing to God. He fell on his knees and cried out, “God there must be a better way.”
That day God revealed to Rob his sin. God had called him to be a shepherd to his employees, not a tyrant. He had been using and abusing his employees for years.
In Psalm 32:5, King David wrote, “I acknowledged my sin to You, And I did not hide my guilt; I said, ‘I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord’”
The first stage in the journey of repentance is acknowledging your sin.
Questions for Reflection
- How self-aware are you? Has someone close to you to ever pointed out something about yourself that surprised you? Do you ever feel yourself changing your personality based on who is presentor where you are? Why might that be? Does it have more to do with them or you? What expectations or lack thereof might be influencing you?
- When was the last time you admitted you were wrong? How did it feel to say it? Think of a time when someone admitted they had wronged you. How did it make you feel about that person? Did it improve your relationship?
