Women of Welcome: Christ-Like Welcomeਨਮੂਨਾ

Welcome that Heals
Thoughtful Questions:
1. Today’s reading reminds us that Christ’s welcome can heal people physically and emotionally. Have you ever thought about how your welcome to someone could bring healing to your life or theirs? Who comes to mind when you think of welcome in this way?
2. Spend some time praying for circumstances that need healing or restoration. Write down:
• The name(s) of anyone you know who needs healing.
• Any situation or relationship that needs healing.
• A doubt you wish could be restored to powerful faith.
• Someone you’re challenged to welcome.

About this Plan

The welcome of Christ was astonishing to the culture around him. He gave voice to the speechless, frustrated the powerful, and humbled the wise. As Christians, our welcome should be like his– wonderfully surprising, deeply challenging, and firmly rooted in love. This five-week study explores the complicated and beautiful welcome of Jesus toward his most beloved creation, human beings. Jump in with us, individually or with a small group, and let’s transform how we show welcome.
