For You Are His Workmanship
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10, KJV).
For you are created in Christ Jesus to do Good Works. It is through Christ that you are set free and delivered. It is through Christ that you are born again and made anew.
The Amplified Version puts it this way: “For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]” (Ephesians 2:10, AMPC).
Choose to live the Good life that Christ has established for you long ago. Christ wants to deliver you. He wants to set you free. For you are God's own handiwork. You are His creation. You are not a mistake. You are His workmanship. You’re His carefully crafted, curated creation. You are established to be used for His Glory.
The New Living Translation expounds upon Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) in the following manner, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
You are one of a kind—you are His Masterpiece. No one in history was ever like you—nor will there be anyone else like you. You are God’s Own. You are His peculiar treasure.
