Daily Bible Reading, November 2022: “God’s Renewing Word of Thankfulness and Praise.”ਨਮੂਨਾ

November 13
Introduction
The book of Second Chronicles focuses on the rule of King Solomon, David’s son. Under his rule, the Temple in Jerusalem was built (2 Chronicles 3). Today’s reading describes the various equipment and furnishings that Solomon ordered for the Temple.
Scripture Reading
2 Chronicles 4:1-22
Today’s Key Verse: 2 Chronicles 4:19
King Solomon also had gold furnishings made for the Temple: the altar and the tables for the bread offered to God.
Reflect
How do you envision the round tank and the basins (verses 1-6)? What was their purpose? What other items had Solomon ordered Huram, the master metalworker, to make? According to verses 19-22, what objects were made of pure gold? Within your community of faith, are there objects and furnishings that have specific uses? If so, what are they and how would you describe them?
Pray
Sovereign God, I revere all places of worship that are dedicated to you. May all communities of faith reflect reverence for you and glorify your holy and precious name. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
2 Chronicles 5:1-14: Solomon brings the Covenant Box to the Temple.
