The Glory of Godਨਮੂਨਾ

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
Take a moment to observe the passage. What do you notice about what nature communicates about God? If a starry night could speak, it would only speak about how great and mighty God is. All creation, from the beautiful sunset to the awe-inspiring mountains, was made by God and for God. From the vast expanse of outer space to the beauty of a single blade of grass, God’s creation was made to point to the glory of its Creator.
- What was a time that God’s creation led you to worship?
- What is a situation in your life that you can declare the glory of God over in the same way that nature does?
Take a moment now to pray. Praise God for His matchless power and creativity. Thank God for creating the places in nature that we get to enjoy. Ask God to help you be moved to worship Him as you recognize that He is the one behind all of the beauty on this earth.
