Solomon, who was said to be the wisest to ever walk the Earth (except for Jesus), wrote down some things he had learned after experiencing nearly everything life had to offer. He passes on this nugget of wisdom: patience > pride.

That sounds nice, but patience is also a lot harder to respond with than what seems like our automatic human instinct––pride. So how do we choose patience and humility instead of leaning into the default of pride? The simple answer is exactly that—it’s a choice!
