Going through hard times is inevitable. That's why it's so important to have people around you that can be there when you need them. When we need a shoulder to cry on, it makes all the difference to have friends there to comfort us.
The Bible says we weren't made to do life alone, but to live in community with each other, in good times and in tough times. If you have that friend who's always looking on the bright side, you can imagine how that could come with some pressure. They might need encouragement from time to time. Maybe that's you, holding the weight of being there for everyone. That's why Jesus is our source of encouragement — we know he'll always be ready to comfort us, whether or not we feel we deserve it.
Think about a person or two you can call if you ever need encouragement or comfort. Reach out to them and see if you can encourage them today.
