Have you ever seen a cat barking like a dog? Have you ever seen a lion flying like a bird? Unless you’ve found some weird, highly edited videos of these things, the answer is likely no. I can tell when I am around a dog long before seeing it. As soon as I hear the dog doing what dogs do, bark, I know it’s a dog! The same should be said about followers of Jesus who live and produce the fruit of the good life! Don’t worry. I’m not comparing us to dogs. I’m just saying that the way we treat others and show up in our daily routines should communicate we are children of God; we should do as Jesus did. Take a moment today to consider what your actions say about you. Don’t be afraid to confront and change those things that need to be adjusted to reflect your identity in Jesus properly.
