Year of the Bible: Part Four of Twelve ਨਮੂਨਾ

Remember the Lord, Your Covenant-Making God.
As Joshua prepared to die, he warned the people to remember the Lord and choose Him above the foreign gods of the land beyond the Jordan River.
His call echoed Moses' call when he was preparing to die when he said, choose life and remember your covenant with the Lord when you enter the land He is giving you.
These warnings against forgetfulness speak to us today. We live in the most prosperous and educated (and distracted) time in human history, and the danger of forgetting God's covenant of friendship is more present than ever.
Question: What distracts you from following God?
Prayer: God, help me set aside my human tendency to seek my own desire. Amid a crooked generation, I want to be a person who walks with you and puts you first. I need your help, and I receive it today. In Jesus' name, Amen!
