Esther, Born for Such a Time as Thisਨਮੂਨਾ

The king’s advisors were very concerned. They thought that Vashti’s disobedience would not only damage the image of the king but would also encourage other women to follow her lead! The reputation of the king must be restored, and a possible revolution among women must be prevented. The man is master of his house!
What if I lived during that period in time? After years and years of absolute royal rule, there comes Vashti. My hope arises; but the position of women isn’t exactly as it will be in the 21st century.
Even now, oppression of women happens far too often—girls who are not allowed to go to school; women who are only allowed to leave the house veiled and in the presence of their husbands; women who are forced to work in prostitution; countless victims who experience domestic violence, both physical and mental. And there are many, many more distressing situations.
Pray for the protection of women and girls worldwide.
"Speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves, for the rights of all who need an advocate."
Proverbs 31:8

About this Plan

In this plan, we will take you through the book of Esther. We can admire Esther's courage, but we should see the whole picture: Esther, too, needed to be reminded of Who rules and that her life is in His hand. We pray that Esther's story inspires you to see God's hand in your life. God has intentionally placed you where you are for such a time as this.
