Pray God will get all of the glory.
Father,
Thank You for this new work You’ve called me to. Because You have called me, I know You will continue to equip me to complete the work You have started. Rid me of my pride, selfish desires, and selfish ambition, Lord. Any energy and effort I put into building my own name or fame will distract me at best and destroy me at worst. Stop anything that would give glory to me. And if any glory comes my way, Lord, help me to quickly transfer the glory to You.
But truly, help me to seek You first and to trust You for everything else. I am confident everything done here will be because of You, through You, and for You. Make everything I say and do acknowledge You and how You are directing each of my steps. Take all of the glory, Lord. It’s all Yours.
I love You, and I trust You. Amen.
