The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for Teensਨਮੂਨਾ

So much to mourn
We experience so many losses in this life. We lose people. We lose our pets. Some friendships end when we don’t want them to. The list goes on and on.
Every “honeymoon” experience we have will eventually come to an end. When reality hits us, we are faced with our own brokenness. This is an invitation to weep over it and receive His healing.
The biggest work we are to do is mourn. Sounds simple right? This cannot be passed over. We need to take the time with Jesus and share our sadness and disappointments with Him. Find your path to Him. He is waiting for you.
Exercise:
Did something come to mind while you read this? Something that really hurt you, but you’ve been ignoring it? Pause and reflect on this, then speak to Jesus about it.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I ask for the grace of tears to weep over my losses.

About this Plan

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
