The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for Teensਨਮੂਨਾ

Peace as a Mind Set
Jesus gave us His peace so worldly events would not dictate our lives. Remember that inward Jesus-type peace? Paul writes of a mind-blowing peace in Phillippians 4:6-7.
It basically says not to worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. You can tell God everything! When you share your needs, frustrations, and worries with God, He shares His mind-blowing peace with you.
Don’t be torn apart by your worries. Does he/ she like me? Will I make the team? What if I get rejected? Jesus invites us to a better life, a life where we can live with God and be comforted by His peace, even if we fail or get rejected.
This peace does not promise everything will be great but invites us to live a life aware of God. A sense that, in the end, everything will come together for good. We have a good God.
Exercise:
When you see something that makes you sad or is broken, pray the prayer we’ve been practicing this week.
Prayer:
God, I ask you to let me experience your mind-blowing peace today.

About this Plan

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
