Comforter
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;” John 14:16 KJV
And He shall give you another Comforter. God will never leave you or forsake you. Our Father is with you always. Our Father sent the Holy Spirit to be your Comforter.
For the Amplified Version expounds upon John 14:16 AMPC in the following manner,
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–” God sent the Holy Spirit to be your Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, and Strengthener.
God will not leave you comfortless. He is your Strength. He will Stand by you in every season. He will stand for you. He will stand with you.The New Living Translation puts it this way, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.” John 14:16 NLT. He, the Holy Spirit, will never leave you comfortless. For He is your Advocate.
The Message Bible puts it this way, “I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth.” John 14:16 MSG. He is Truth. For our God is Truth and Truth will never leave you. Choose to trust in Truth. Choose to trust in God. Choose to trust in our King.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, say this simple prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ.
I believe that He died and rose just for me. Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I repent of my sin and I turn to You.
I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
