You may have heard of Daniel in the lion’s den. But there’s a story about a few of Daniel’s friends that is worth hearing, too. Daniel had three friends who refused to follow the king’s order to worship him. The king got so angry that he threw them into a fire, but God saved them! What’s even crazier is that when the king looked in the fire, there was someone else with them- God was right next to them. They were terrified for their lives, but they still believed that God had a plan. Sometimes it’s hard to trust God’s point of view and obey him. But God’s plan is always better. He is with us, even in the fire.

Challenge: Draw a picture or write down something that represents God being with you. Take some time to thank God for being right next to you no matter what.
