Bible in a Yearਨਮੂਨਾ

Yesterday you started the book of Joshua. Here’s some info to help you make sense of it:
-This book starts immediately after Deuteronomy ends.
-Joshua, Moses’s successor is tasked with conquering the promised land for the nation of Israel, as God disqualified Moses from this honor in Numbers chapter 20.
-Joshua and Jesus share the same name in Hebrew—Y’shua. “Joshua” is the direct translation from Hebrew, and “Jesus” is the translation from the Greek transliteration of Y’shua.
-Joshua ends his life similarly to Moses, with a prayer/warning for Israel to stay faithful to the Lord.
