Why Our Work Mattersਨਮੂਨਾ

Why Our Work Matters – Part II
In this Bible reading plan, we’re discussing some of the reasons God intended us to work. In our last lesson, we discussed Purpose. Today we’ll consider Provision.
When God created the heavens and the earth, He assured that man and all animals had a means of provision and sustenance.
In Genesis 1:29 we read, "Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.'"
Likewise, in the work that God has ordained for us to do, He provided a way for us to make daily provisions for our family. Unfortunately, many people believe provision is the only purpose for their work, leaving a void in life.
Questions for Reflection:
- Do you believe God is providing for your needs through your work?
- If money seems tight and expenses are high, is that an indication that God is not providing for your needs through your work? Explain.
- What’s your opinion of the description of God’s provision in Genesis 1:29? What does this say about God’s character?

About this Plan

Work is more than a means to an end. It’s more than a way to pay our home mortgage or electric bill. Work is something that God created us for before the fall. In this Bible reading plan, we will look at some of the reasons why God intends for us to work.
