Thrive: A Journey Through the Psalmsਨਮੂਨਾ

Forgetfulness
A couple of years ago, my wife took a special trip with our daughter. That week, I planned a list of tasks that I felt needed to be done around the house. I was feeling good about all that I had accomplished until a few days into their trip. On a phone call home, my wife inquired about how my daughter's hedgehog was doing. At that moment, I realized that I had forgotten entirely to care for my daughter's pet.
With my heart pounding, I bolted up the stairs to check on him. To my relief, he was still alive and well. This shock of my oversight and the potentially devastating consequences to our beloved hedgehog spurred me to an immediate reaction and response. In the same way, we often need to be spiritually alerted when we have become distracted. The busyness of life can often distract us from recognizing that which is of spiritual importance. Today's Psalm awakens our hearts to remember all that God has done for each of us, reminding us to prioritize praise in our life.
Daily Challenge:
God is worthy of our praise. Ask God to bring to memory his faithfulness to you, taking time to express your gratitude to him.
