Evangelism: Sharing the Good Newsਨਮੂਨਾ

God calls us to evangelize
Having said that the evangel is God's and that He doesn't need us to evangelize, I need to clarify that He still calls us to do it. If we claim Jesus as Lord, we have to obey Him. And He commands us to make disciples of all nations.
How do we get people to follow Jesus? Well if we're doing so ourselves, we just need to invite them to join us for our pilgrimage to the new creation! If they're happy to do so, we can also invite them to be baptized as a public declaration of their faith.
Once people are part of God's family, we need to share Jesus's ground rules for them: to love one another as He has loved us, and to love God wholeheartedly. It's a big ask, but Jesus promises to be with us until the job's done, by His Holy Spirit. Nothing is impossible for Him, so the task He has set us is achievable (Luke 18:21-23).
How did we receive the good news of being saved by Jesus? Because someone told us! It's as simple as that: we just need to get the Gospel out there.
Do you follow Jesus? If so, do you obey His great commission?
'Heavenly Father, may we obey the great commission of Your Son and see many come to follow Him through our witness, for the honor of Your name, Amen.'

About this Plan

Evangelism: the very word strikes fear into the hearts of many ordinary Christians. We often might have a legalistic sense of duty to do it; but isn't evangelism just for those unusual people who are gifted at it? This plan seeks to reclaim evangelism as the sharing of good news that can be delightful rather than daunting!
