Moments for Mums – Chase Joy – Part 1ਨਮੂਨਾ

I well know that feeling of having a broken spirit. My daughter had reflux and sleep was a challenge long past the newborn days. Sleep deprivation is a torture strategy for a reason! Not only is the tiredness a physical issue but mental and emotional too.
The challenges don’t end at the baby stage either. We can develop a broken spirit through many circumstances that life throws at us. It becomes the lens through which we view our lives, hiding hope and joy. This is what drains our strength.
We can change that lens and choose to chase joy in our days. Find things to be grateful for. Say yes to fun moments. Get creative. Connect with a friend. Hold on to the promises in scripture. Our circumstances may not change but our hearts will. This grows a cheerful heart within us that is good medicine. Our strength to endure is refreshed.
Questions:
What can you be grateful for today?
What will you do to chase joy today?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for your joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Open our eyes to see the joy in this day. Amen
