Moments for Mums: Chase Joy - Part 2ਨਮੂਨਾ

My 6 year-old has a tendency to race to be first for everything. In a large family you can understand her desire to act fast, but when I could see it impacting her joy I had her start a grateful book.
What I have noticed as she writes in her book each day is a little shift in her attitude. She’s noticing the ways she’s been provided for: the food in her fridge, the friend that showed up, the safe roof over her head.
Though we may not understand the direction God is taking our life, recognising his gracious provision keeps discontentment from breeding in our heart and allows us to feel the joy he desires for us.
Questions:
What are you chasing that keeps you from seeing the provision around you?
How are you going to recognise provisions in your life to help you feel the joy intended for you?
Prayer:
Thank you, God, for your provision, not only for the things and people you have given me, but for the joy I have access to. May I take a moment to see the gifts before me. Forgive me when I forget. Amen
