Relationships According to the Book of Ruth ਨਮੂਨਾ

DAY 5: Don’t Make Big Decisions While You are Emotional.
Most of the time, when we’re facing difficult circumstances, we experience a lot of emotions. To avoid these emotions, we tend to make immediate decisions to don’t have to process these emotions.
We make immature decisions because we don’t have the strength to think the situation through. For example: suddenly moving, quitting your job, cutting/colouring your hair, selling your favourite items, spending an unusual amount of money, going back to previous sinful habits etc. Note that these decisions are wrong, but most of the time, we end up regretting the decisions we made.
Orpah decided to go back to the way her life was before she got married, missing out on the opportunity to serve God. On the other hand, Ruth decided to continue with her life the way it was for the past 10 years. She decided to stick to decisions she made when there were more clarity and fewer emotions. When we get hurt in relationships, we need to take time to process our emotions before we make big decisions that we’ll regret later.
Which emotions do you have that needs some processing?
