Walking With Jesus (Perseverance)ਨਮੂਨਾ

Little by little
An embroidery is a form of decoration made on cloth with decorative threads on it. We can use wool, linen, silk, cotton, or rayon to make those decorative threads. The art of embroidery has been around since the 5th century BC during the Qin dynasty in China. People worked on this exquisite work of art diligently. These days, we can also use a sophisticated border machine to make embroidery. However, there are similarities between the past and present embroidery techniques. Both patterns of images or writings are embroidered little by little.
The same thing happens with life. Like embroidering, life is woven bit by bit. However, we often forget this meaning. We tend to want things to happen quickly and done as quickly as possible. When we want to seek God's will, we often can't wait to get it.
Abraham is another example of the embroidered work of faith and patience. Abram, whose name was soon changed to Abraham, was 75 years old when God called him to leave Haran. Of course, this was not an easy thing. However, with faith and perseverance, Abraham made his way to Negev. The Bible does not say that Abraham did this in a day. The word of God says that he walked further into the Negev. Abraham walked forward in the embroidery of God's plan slowly. God didn't immediately reveal His plans and wills to Abraham. However, with confidence, Abraham walked with the Lord.
We can imitate Abraham and remember that the life pattern is embroidered little by little. The pattern of our lives will be formed little by little as we walk step by step through time and opportunity while answering God's daily call.
Reflection:
1. What is our attitude in seeking God's will in our lives?
2. What might happen if we rush through the embroidery of our lives?
Application:
Keep treading step by step in God's plan. It is better to be in His guidance even if it is slower than outside His will.
