Unwrappedਨਮੂਨਾ

From all of the prophecies and promises people heard about the Messiah (or rescuer) that would come, they thought someone would come and take down the government and free them from being ruled over by other people.
People expected Jesus to start his own government, build an army, and overthrow Rome.
However, instead of overthrowing Rome, he’s crucified by Roman soldiers.
Imagine being one of the people who had been following Jesus. The guy you were convinced would free you is now dead. How would you feel? Would you feel let down? Disappointed? Confused?
But what they didn’t realize was that Jesus had bigger plans than they did to rescue his people.
The people wanted Jesus to rescue them from Rome, but Jesus had way bigger plans. Jesus rescued people from sin and death.
Question: How are God’s plans bigger than your plans?

About this Plan

About this plan: Christmas is a big deal. It’s the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus. If we aren’t careful, Christmas becomes just another holiday, and we miss the significance of it. In this series, we look forward to Christmas by looking at the story of the Bible to remind us why Christmas matters.
