God’s Word is our light in this dark fallen world. It directs our path to God and His ways when everything around us is chaotic and bleak. We can very easily get lost and find ourselves compromising for the sake of convenience and comfort. It is very easy to succumb to the ideas of those with the loudest voices and most appealing message. However, the sure way to find God in the messiness of life is to turn to His Word. God’s Word makes our path clear and will accurately guide each of our choices and decisions. What is guiding your choices and your decision making right now? Father God, I thank You for the light of Your Word. Let Your Word be what I run to and cling to when I find myself lost, drifting, and compromising with the ideas of the world. Help me to remain on the lighted path that You have laid out before me. Allow me to be a light to others who need You as well. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
