One: Responding to the One True Godਨਮੂਨਾ

It doesn’t do any good for God to send you a rescuer if you don’t allow yourself to be rescued. 

Jesus, God’s perfect Son, Who lived the same life we live and faced all the temptations we face, but never sinned, obeyed His Father and died on the cross so our sin could be wiped away, or forgiven. In a matter of speaking, your scholarship to Heaven has been paid for, but you have to accept it. 

When you accept God’s forgiveness by surrendering your life to follow Him in obedience, you will be saved from the consequences of sin, not before. Words alone don’t count. If your acceptance prayer is sincere, your life will show it. Just as a scholarship recipient isn’t a student if he/she never attends classes paid for by that scholarship, you aren’t a Christian if your life doesn’t show evidence of change by the power of God’s Holy Spirit. 

Thank God for the opportunity to accept His forgiveness for sin by surrendering your life to follow Him in obedience.
