Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness spreads over Egypt—darkness that can be felt.” (Exodus 10:21) 

Imagine the enormity of the disasters that fell on Egypt from the first Plague to the ninth! Even the most powerful Egyptian deity, the Sun God, was challenged. Total darkness covered all of Egypt for three days.
