Journey Witnessesਨਮੂਨਾ

The early chapters of Acts provides us with a detailed account of the rise of the early church and we get a glimpse of how the Holy Spirit is living and active among the disciples. But we also see how the Roman world responded. From Peter’s message in Chapter 2 to the healing of the lame man in Chapter 3, we find in Chapter 4 that the Jewish religious leadership responds by attempting to silence Peter and John.
It was the insistence of Peter and John to follow the command of Christ rather than the command of the Pharisees and teaches of the Law that compelled and motivated the rest of the Church. Rather than hiding out and protecting themselves, Peter, John, and the rest of the Church became even bolder and empowered by the Spirit to carry the gospel forward.
