Challenge Accepted: Sacrificeਨਮੂਨਾ

One of the more subtle (yet still incredibly difficult) things that Jesus may call us to sacrifice is our status or reputation. Many of us have worked hard to earn our place in society – whatever level of popularity, notoriety, or even just social capital we have been able to acquire, the thought of willingly giving it up can be downright painful. And yet, Scripture repeatedly calls us to prioritize the good of others over our own comfort or status. How can we do that? How can we regularly be willing to make ourselves less for the sake of making someone else more?
As you read today, ask yourself these two questions:
- What verse stood out to me the most?
- What can I do with that in my life today?

About this Plan

Jesus Himself told us again and again that a life lived for Him will have challenges, and that we will be called to willingly sacrifice. But could it be that these sacrifices are not arbitrary tests, but are actually one of the quickest ways God designed for us to grow in our faith? This week-long plan will explore what Scripture has to say about sacrifice.
