The population of the Southeastern Puebla Nahuatl is 92,000. They live in the region of Southeast Puebla, Tehuacán and in the region of Chilac and San Sebastián Zinacatepec. Alternate names are Náhuatl del Sureste de Puebla, and Tehuacán Náhuatl. The dialects are most similar to Sierra Negra Nahuatl [nsu]. There is an approximate 60% intelligibility of Morelos Nahuatl [nhm]. The language classification is Uto-Aztecan, Southern Uto-Aztecan, Aztecan, General Aztec, Aztec. Language development consists of Bible portions and a New Testament. The Writing system is in the Latin script.
