Abiding in Himनमूना

Abiding in Him

DAY 7 OF 7

“I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts." - John 15:9 TPT Abiding in Christ is abiding in His love. This simply means allowing His love to nourish your heart. How horrible it is for a man not to be able to accept eternal love. I know that some people because of past experiences or background do not have the ability to accept love. But that is a sure way to live a miserable life. As humans we are born to love and be loved. A healthy soul is one that knows how to love and receive love. Jesus, knowing fully well that many people's hearts will grow cold because of trials and tribulations, greatly pleads with us all to allow his love to overwhelm our hearts and constantly set it ablaze with devotion. We must not let our hearts grow cold such that we lose our first love. Rather, we must daily permit the Love of Christ to ignite us and heal our hearts. A lot of people, believers inclusive, have wounds and pain in their hearts that only God's love can heal. Pain is real but God's love is more real. You determine what overwhelms and takes over your heart. It is our responsibility to choose to allow the Love of Christ to take over our hearts by being reminded of His eternal love towards us. Such constant reminder and assurance of eternal love only ignites our passion for and devotion to the Lord. My question to you as we round up this devotional is: will you allow God's love to take over your heart? Will you abide in His ever- present love?
