[IMAGE CONTENT] Loving someone deeply can be a struggle. In the media, ‘true love’ is portrayed as something full of happiness, causing little pain. Some of my favorite social media couples just look so perfect all the time. As much as I love their content, this idea of love is so inaccurate and misleading. Truly, deeply loving imperfect people is hard work in itself. Then taking it a step further, loving someone who has wronged us in some way is an even harder task! Love does bring lots of happiness, sure, but it also can cause lots of pain. Loving people who aren’t nice to you can be quite draining, especially without God’s help. When we love someone truly and deeply, many sins will be erased! This means, by the grace of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can forgive and love people whom we thought were our enemies. Loving someone the way God invites us to doesn't come easy. Thankfully, when we ask God to help us, God will give us the strength and courage to love everyone unconditionally! When we know and accept God’s unending love for us, it’s hard not to love everyone! Today, I encourage you to say a prayer and ask God to help you love someone.
