Day 4: Completing Your Great Work

After reading Nehemiah's remarkable story and realizing there was nothing superhuman about him—except his unwavering focus on his purpose and assignment—I can't help but get excited about what God can accomplish in my life if I follow the same path. Just think about it: my simple "yes" can transform my home, my community, my state, and even the world around me. The beautiful thing is, my "yes" isn't about bringing glory to myself; it's entirely about how God will be glorified through my obedience.

There's no need to fear what my "yes" will produce because 1 John 4:18 reminds us, "there is no fear in love." The Lover of My Soul has an assignment perfectly tailored for me that I don't need to approach with anxiety or doubt.

Nehemiah shares a powerful statement in 6:16. It takes all the pressure off of us in our assignments and reminds us of who we are working with: "They realized this work had been done with the help of our God." Isn't that freeing? It's not all on our shoulders!

Because of God's help—His divine assistance—we can complete the great work He has called us to do. Through His help, our vision becomes crystal clear, our purpose is defined, our assignment is released, and we can remain laser-focused on seeing the work through to completion.

When we say, "I can't come down," we acknowledge that we're working on something far greater than ourselves. We're making the firm decision that no matter what disruptions, distractions, or opposition come our way, we must complete what God has called us to do. We simply cannot abandon our position. The work you're building is infinitely more important than your response to intimidation, negativity, lies, miscommunication, or apparent failure. "I can't come down" means refusing to let any of these challenges become a stopping place for the beautiful work God wants to do through your life.

So now it's your time to begin. Take a moment to identify which phase of your journey and which phase you need to move toward next. If you're unsure where to start, ask God to remind you of the last word He gave you. Then, be diligent in that direction until He gives you new guidance.

Remember this truth: with God, absolutely nothing is impossible! So go forth boldly in your purpose and assignment with unwavering focus! The time is now—this is your moment!
