For how much longer…? How long should I wait until I find a job, I or other beloved person get well, I finally get rid of the fear that keeps me from being really free, the relationship with my partner is intact again, my financial problems, ...?

You may have prayed and poured out your heart to God, but apparently you are on hold. Did God not hear you? Or maybe you did not express yourself clearly enough?

It was probably the same with the two sisters Marta and Mary. Her brother Lazarus was gravely ill and they had Jesus aligned: "Lord, the one you love is sick.” (John 11:3 ). "Hey Jesus-this is an emergency call, it's about Lazarus - this is not about anyone - it's your" best friend "in need. We need you now, here, right now! "

But Jesus does not set off immediately, but responds to the message of Lazarus by placing the situation in a different context, changing perspective and focus. He says: "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it (John 11:4).

I am so often like this. I only see what my needy are, my "illness" is at the moment, I'm passive and I'm afraid of where this situation might lead. And when I'm on hold, I do not understand God's love.

But in Jesus perspective it is so much more. It should be visible: For God, everything is possible! His love goes far beyond what I can imagine and will remain there when I can’t see or feel it. 

Do you know such "diseases" currently in your life?

Jesus says: I am the resurrection and the life. He wants to meet you with his resurrection power. It can bring your dream back to life, restore your relationship, free you from anxiety, give you new hope - even if his schedule is sometimes different than in our imagination.
