Everywhere I Go: Learning to See Jesusနမူနာ

THE RESULTS OF REPENTANCE To repent means to change your direction, to change your mind, to change your lifestyle, your habits, your relationships. Unless these changes have taken place in your life, you have never really come to know Jesus Christ. Repentance, true repentance, yields forth changed lives. It's a radical thing. When we experience this true repentance, three things happen. First, our sins are wiped away. I never get over that. When we confess, God is able and just to forgive that which we have confessed. Our sins are erased, and God sees them no more. Also, when we repent we experience a time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. The picture of this refreshing is one of catching your breath. When sin delivers a sucker punch, the breath is knocked out of us. But when we repent, a time of refreshing comes. Also this refreshing is like finding a cool stream of water in a hot desert. It's taking the Nestea plunge - receiving just the pick-me-up we need. Finally, when we repent, the Jesus who seemed out of place in our lives before because of sin now fits perfectly. He's the appointed one whose presence is just right. He fits exactly inside of you and inside of me. Have you experienced the results of repentance?
