1 PETER 3:15

LEAD SOMEONE TO JESUS

Feeling like you’re not “good” or qualified enough to lead someone else to Christ? God will do it through you. He does not expect you to talk to everyone you meet about accepting Christ. However, there might be people in your life who are ready to receive Christ into their lives as their Savior without knowing how to do so. God wants all people to be saved. 1 Timothy 2:3-4

Let the prompting of the Holy Spirit guide you when to share with someone whose heart is hungry for God. John 6:44

HOW TO SHARE JESUS

You can guide someone to become a child of God by sharing the following:

• To believe in God is not enough. 

James 2:19

• All people have sinned.

Romans 3:23

• The penalty (punishment) for sin is death.

Romans 6:23

• God loves people and has sent Jesus so that we can be saved from hell (eternal death).

John 3:16-17

• Jesus died on a cross and paid for our sins.

1 Peter 2:24

• Very important! You can’t go to heaven by doing good deeds.

Ephesians 2:8-9

• God wants to adopt you as His child.

Ephesians 1:5

• All you have to do is to receive Jesus. God then declares you as His child.

John 1:12

• You then have eternal life and will go to heaven when you die.

John 5:24

Now, ask the person: “Would you like to become a child of God?”

If the answer is “yes," ask if you can lead him or her in a prayer. Explain it’s not enough to pray the right words without meaning it sincerely from your heart. Say the prayer line-by-line out loud and let him or her repeat after you.

Prayer of Life

Lord, I know that You are the only true God. I am sorry about all my sins. Jesus, thank You for paying for all my sins on the cross. Please forgive me. Come into my heart and take control of my life. I acknowledge You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for receiving me as Your child and giving me eternal life—in Jesus’s Name, amen.
