Have you ever had to be really brave? Just thinking about your answer to that question probably brought a significant life memory to your mind. There is something about being brave that brings out the best in us. The good news is that God wants to give us more of what we need to live brave lives. He gives us the power, love, and self-discipline we need to bravely live the life He wants us to live. So, yeah, it’s not easy to go against the flow to follow Jesus. It’s not normal to love people that most people ignore. It’s not normal to live with enough self-discipline to stay away from unhealthy situations. But God gives us everything we need to take the brave steps necessary to get the most out of life. 

Today, ask God to show you the ways He wants you to bravely step forward into His power, love, and self-discipline in your life.
