God’s Miraculous Creation
Romans 1:19, 20
God’s fingerprints are all over His creation. The plants, animals, and human beings display His amazing design and craftsmanship. The universe, with its galaxies, is mind-blowing in its unfathomable vastness. The amazing atomic “universe” that can only be seen through a microscope, is equally mind-blowing, too intricately designed to be an accident.
I once listened to a microbiologist who shared that while doing research, he realized the complexity of the incredible biological systems that cannot be seen by the naked eye. They are so perfectly designed that he began to question his long-held atheistic stance. Slowly, God began to reveal himself through all this young man studied.
Truly, he experienced what is written in Romans 1:19, 20, ESV:
“For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”
When we take the time to see—really see!—what God has made, we cannot deny His power and His presence throughout creation. We are created to notice and enjoy the miraculous in all that God made, but we don’t worship the creation. That is paganism. We have the invitation and joy of worshiping the One who designed it all and breathed life into what He made.
This passage isn’t just a reminder that God has made it evident to anyone seeking truth that He is real; it is also an invitation to His children to celebrate the evidence of His existence through the beauty and incredible intricacies of His creation. Seeing His fingerprints throughout creation can only fuel our worship of Him. Make it a point today to look around you and find His fingerprints. Praise and thank Him when you do!
