Challenge Accepted: Prayerနမူနာ

What did Jesus actually pray when He was speaking with God while on earth? The answer to that question can give us great insight into how we should pray and the types of things that should dominate our time spent speaking with God. This one chapter of Scripture shows us Jesus’ longest recorded prayer while on earth, and it reveals His desires in those moments before His impending arrest and crucifixion. Even with the weight of the world closing in on Him, Jesus’ prayers were not focused on Himself. In fact, you will see just five verses are about Himself, and even those are really concerned with the good of others. What can we learn from Jesus’ longest prayer, and how should that transform what we focus on when we approach our Heavenly Father?
